This reindeer rawhide is very high quality and is ideal for making drums, especially Lapp shaman drums. This rawhide is very thin compared with elk rawhide. The thickness is approximately 1/16" thick for all sizes.
Rawhide is also referred to as parchment or vellum.
Reindeer are not an endangered species. The reindeer are raised by the Lapp in Finland. The hides we get are a by-product of the food industry. The animal was not killed just for its hide. Not subject to CITES.
A USFWS export permit is required for export out of the USA.
