This is a real black caiman hide. Caiman are subject to CITES and are not for export out of the United States. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) requires entities in New York to possess an annual Endangered/Threatened Species - Crocodilian Permit to sell or offer for sale alligator, caiman, and crocodile products in the state of New York.
