This is a real Texas western diamondback rattlesnake skin with rattle.

It is glycerin-tanned and is suitable for making boots, wallets, guitar slings, and gun slings.

Before making any items with the skins it is up to the artist or craftsperson to make sure that the materials are suitable for their purpose. We do not guarantee suitability for any project and cannot accept returns once the skins have been cut.

All of our snake skins can be used to make wallets and other leather accessories, but some of our customers prefer our smaller, shorter skins for wallet-making because the patterns on these skins are darker and easier to see than the patterns on our larger skins.

Please note: The snakes are collected each year as they are a physical danger to both the public and livestock. They are humanely killed and everything is used: the venom goes to making anti-venom; the meat is eaten; the hides are used for leather to make wallets, hats, boots; and the heads and tails are used for crafts, jewelry, and decoration. As long as people insist on living in rattlesnake habitat, the rattlesnakes will be removed from their areas.

None of our rattlesnake products come from California or Oregon.

Texas western diamondback rattlesnakes are not endangered.

A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.
