The Hungarian merino lamb skins are natural skins denser than the regular Hungarian lambskins. These skins have been alum-tanned, not bleached.The pile on the Merino Short-Haired Lamb Skin is about 1" long, while the pile on the Merino Long-Haired Lamb Skin is about 2" long.These sheepskins are a by-product of the food industry. The sheep were not killed just for their skin.
