These are the tumbled edges of African abalone shells. They are also called lips, spikes or rims. They can be used in shell crafts and make perfect trim on mirrors as shown in the pictures. The large pieces are typically 12 cm and longer or 4.5" and longer.  You will get a selection similar to the one shown.
