The cow rawhide lacing is priced by the foot and sold in 60-foot bundles. These are continuous pieces of full grain or top grain lacing available in thicknesses that could vary from approximately 1/8" to 1/16" thick or smaller within the bundle. Some of the 1/2" bundles are covered in a white film from the soap that the manufacturer uses as lubrication as it goes through the tool.
