These long-haired Icelandic rugs are made out of two sheepskins sewn side by side. They are available in various colors and sizes. The Icelandic sheepskins have a wool length of approximate 4" to 6" and are ideal for use as rugs and furniture coverings. The hair is so long that it does not go in one direction like a dog or cat's fur, but rather it falls in every direction. You cannot feel the seams when walking on the rug.
