We measured one hide to be 31" long, 24" wide and weighing 0.82 lbs.Cows are not an endangered species. These skins are a by-product of the meat industry. The animals were not killed just for their hides.

This is a tanned muskox hide with hooves.There are only a limited number of tanned musk ox skins available for sale at any time. The skin is a long dense coat of coarse dark brown guard hairs over a paler underfur. Chichester was the supplier for the muskox hides used in the movie 10,000 B.C. Musk ox are not endangered.
