The musk ox leather scrap is black and dark brown and comes in a range of sizes. Musk ox are not endangered. There are about 100,000 roaming around northern Canada. The musk ox are protected by a quota. Each year, hunters are allowed to hunt about 600 animals, but only take about 400 per year. Many of the animals are eaten and the hide is a by-product of a subsistence life style.

This is 3 oz. horse butt leather that is polished with no coating. Each hide is marked with its total square footage. They range in size from 1.75 to 5.25 sq. ft. We can usually select either smaller or larger pieces according to your wishes. We will not, however, cut hides to specific dimensions. The tanned moose hocks are leg shin pieces that are suitable for craft projects. Its hair can be used for fly tying. The pieces are somewhat stiff. Hooves are not attached. Each piece is 13" to 17" long and 3.5" to 5" wide down the middle. Each piece weighs approximately 0.42 lbs.Moose are not an endangered species and are not subject to CITES controls. This is cow leather that has been tanned to be soft like deer leather. These are bigger, cleaner pieces with fewer flaws than real deerskin. Each hide is marked with its total square footage. These are broken or cracked beaver teeth. Please note that we store the teeth in mineral oil to reduce the chance of cracking. All teeth may crack with the passage of time, especially if stored or used in a dry climate. To reduce the chance of further cracking, apply a light coating of mineral oil to the tooth as needed. We cannot ensure that a tooth will not crack with time.

These moose teeth come from wild moose in Quebec, Canada. They have been cleaned, but not drilled. They are ideal for making pendants. They can be stained in tea to make them look old- fashioned. They average 1.75 - 2" (4.4cm - 5cm) in length and 1/4" (0.6 cm) in width.Moose are not an endangered animal. These teeth come from moose that have been hunted in Canada. The meat from the animals is generally saved. The animals were not killed just for their teeth.
