The buffalo hide pieces are available in different sizes.
These project pieces come from the hides of ranch-raised U.S. buffalo that were raised for food. The buffalo were not killed just for the hides. The skins are selected for quality and are professionally tanned in the northern U.S. They are from prime, winter skins selected in December and January of each year. The pieces come from the main body hair and are similar to the pictures. The material is as soft and supple as is possible from such a thick skin. The hair on the hide measure approximately 1.5" to 2" long. These pieces can be used for a variety of craft items such as boots, purses, moccasins, pillows, and slippers.
We can also cut project pieces to order. If we do not have enough of a certain size in stock or if you want a size that we do not currently offer, please contact us by phone or email and we will let you know if we can cut more or create them to your specifications.
A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.
