These are one ounce packs of Dentalium aprinum shells that are approximately 2" to 4" long. The pieces are a mix of shells with some as short as 2" and some up to 4". We counted three one ounce bags and there were 23, 24, and 36 pieces. The number of shells will vary from pack to pack depending on the size of the shells. We do not do further sorting or grading.
Regular Dentalium aprinum shells are green, nicely ridged, and delicately curved. These are a lighter shade of green with white specks and/or a lower quality than the shells we have hand sorted into the 10-packs.
You will not receive the exact shells from the photos but something similar.
A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.
