This is a tanned muskox hide. There are only a limited number of tanned musk ox skins available for sale at any time. The skin is a long dense coat of coarse dark brown guard hairs over a paler underfur. Chichester was the supplier for the muskox hides used in the movie 10,000 B.C. Musk ox are not endangered. There are about 100,000 roaming around northern Canada. The musk ox are protected by a quota. Each year, hunters are allowed to hunt about 600 animals, but only take about 400 per year....

We sell the muskrat skin scrap pieces by the pound.  Because these are scrap pieces, the sizes and coloring varies for each piece. The scrap comes in various shades of natural brown (i.e., not dyed). We cannot guarantee matching colors or sizes throughout an order. Muskrat are not an endangered species. A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.

These are sheepskins from Sweden with natural curly hair. They are thicker and heavier than pearl lambskins. There are no USFWS export restrictions for these sheepskins.

Rex rabbit skins have the softest, silkiest and densest fur of our rabbit skins line. These rabbit skins are soft-tanned and very heavily furred. The feel of these luxurious pelts are the closest you can get to a sheared beaver skin.
