This is a traditionally brain-tanned and smoked buffalo hide. It was tanned and smoked using a traditional brain-tanning process using real veal brains. Very few people are making true brain-tanned hides any more. The hide is prepared by a European enthusiast of real leather living in Canada. It is NOT native made.
