The skins come from lambs processed in New Zealand. The skins have a beautiful, tight curl. The lambskins are approximately 17" to 24" long and 8" to 14.5" wide. They are tiny.  Average weight is 0.2 lbs.The lambs are not killed for their skins.

These tanned karakul or broadtail lamb skins are among the best selection in the world. These are small skins with a useable area of less than one square feet. The hair is wavy, not tightly curled like our broadtail lamb. They are approximately 20" to 30" long and 10" to 13" wide down the middle. Each skin weighs 0.8 to 0.28 pounds.
