These are real snapping turtle skulls. They are approximately 4" long, 3.5" wide, and 3" high. Common snapping turtles are not on the U.S. Endangered Species List. They are, however, subject to CITES. They were added to CITES Appendix III on November 21, 2016. Not for export outside of the United States.

These are professionally prepared skeleton mounts. Each skeleton is cleaned and articulated in a natural posture on a wooden base with a removable clear acrylic cover.This comparison mount consists of spinal columns from a specimen of the five classes of vertebrates: Mammal (rabbit), Bird (pigeon), Reptile (turtle/lizard), Amphibian (toad/frog) and Fish. The case is 10.75" long by 8" wide, and 2" high, including the cover. It weighs 1.89 lbs.

Castrated male cattle are called steers. Sometimes they are called bullocks. The steer skulls with horns do not have lower jaws. They have been cleaned.The steer skulls are a by-product of the food industry and were not just killed for their skulls.We cannot ship steer skulls to Canada because of concerns over BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy).

The stiff bleached raccoon tails are not soft like our regular tails, i.e. they would stand up straight in the air if you hold them by the base of the tail rather than flop over to the side. These cow tail stingray barbs are sorted by length. This species of stingray is not an endangered species and is not subject to CITES. A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.

The synthetic black horse hair is made from plastic.  It is sold as loose hair in 0.5 pound (8 ounce) bags.  This is NOT real horse hair. We call this blackish because the hair is not a pure black color. It has some brown and lighter colored hair mixed in.
