Rawhide

This is how we ranked the thickness of different types of animal rawhide from thickest to thinnest:

• Horse
• Buffalo
• Moose
• Cow
• Elk
• Water Buffalo
• Red Deer
• White Tail Deer
• Reindeer
• Goat

Please note that this list is very generalized. Thickness will vary from piece to piece amongst the same animal depending on the location (e.g. backs vs. bellies) and the age of the animal (e.g. calf vs. cow). The hides are usually thicker than the drum cover discs.
