The moose hide leather is sold by the hide. We do not cut hides to specific dimensions. We have a limited number of smaller #1 hides. These are ideal for making moccasins and leather bags. The full hides vary in size averaging about 10.8 square feet but can be as large as 18 sq. ft. These skins are not flawless, but are not junk either. Expect some holes and/or flaws. If you can work around these, this skin is for you. If not, stick to a true garment grade. Each hide is marked with its size. They are on average 6.25 to 18 square feet. The musk ox leather scrap is black and dark brown and comes in a range of sizes. Musk ox are not endangered. There are about 100,000 roaming around northern Canada. The musk ox are protected by a quota. Each year, hunters are allowed to hunt about 600 animals, but only take about 400 per year. Many of the animals are eaten and the hide is a by-product of a subsistence life style.

The mystery braid bracelets are 8.5" long and come with pre-attached snaps. They are made using smooth cowhide and come in assorted colors. Each pack has two different color bracelets. Let us know if you have any color preference. Instructions on how to braid are included.

This is full grain North American bison (buffalo) leather. The difference between our Buffalo Upsholstry Leather styles is in the texture and finish. These are sold by the half hides which range in size from 11 to 23 sq. ft.The buffalo are not killed just for the hides. The hides are a by-product of the meat industry.Domesticated buffalo are not endangered.

We work with a tannery in The Philippines that makes parrot fish leather that is soft and supple. The skins are 1.5" to 2" wide at the narrowest end and 5" wide at the widest end. They are approximately 11" long down the middle. The skins weigh about 7.5 grams each. Parrot Fish are not endangered.A U.S. Fish & Wildlife export permit is required for all shipments outside of the United States.

This is a dyed tannery-run quality pig suede leather hide in a coral color. It is 1.5 oz. leather or between 1/64" and 1/32" thick.  This hide has nice coloring throughout the front and backside. It has very small markings near the edge on the front and has markings throughout the whole backside.
